New Car!!

So today Mom and I went car shopping. Although we have to sell the house in Fairless Hills this summer due to money issues, she needed a new car. The 1993 Ford Taurus station wagon we've had for almost 13 years now is just not gonna get her around safely much longer. So, this afternoon, we went to Team Toyota on Rt. 1 and bought a brand new 2006 Toyota Corolla. Its a beautiful little car, and I feel much better knowing that Mom is driving around in a safe, dependable, and reliable car now. Samantha will eventually take the Taurus (if she ever gets a license lol), but in the meantime I have to drop it off at the shore while its still insured, where it will sit until the end of summer, when Samantha plans on re-insuring it and taking it to communte to school. Yeah, so that should be fun...

In other news, we visited our old family friends in Bensalem yesterday, and then went out to Aunt Beth's to have Christmas dinner with her. It was nice, but not the same without both Uncle Johnny and Dad. I miss him so much, and I've had to really make important decisions now that he's gone and essentially become a full-fledged adult much sooner than I ever thought I would. Well life sure is different now, but I feel good, like I'm doing things as he would have wanted. I got Mom a good car, and bargained a good deal for her. Her and I are making decisions about selling the house, and so many other things too, things that her and Dad would have done otherwise. So I guess you could say that life is changing, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I think in the end, after things are figured out financially, that we'll be okay.
